Nose: very fresh, full of minty notes, lemons, rhubarb and kiwi. Sea air and wet pebbles. Some aniseed, very delicate floral notes and buttery biscuits. Wee notes of cotton candy. Green melons and apples. Fresh linen. Beautiful.

Mouth: same feeling of lightness. Lemon candy and bananas, more melons, hints of triple beers and honeyed notes. Always this coastal note, as well as a faint Clynelish-esk waxy note. Mild vanilla cake. A tiny peppery edge too.

Finish: malty, lemony, with hints of chalk and oak.

Highly drinkable coastal Bunnahabhain, showing a perfect freshness and bright fruits. Perhaps a little lighter and more feminine than you’d expect from this Islay distillery, but recommended nonetheless. Available from The Whisky Exchange for instance.
