Port Charlotte 13 yo (52,7%, That Boutique-y Whisky Company 2018, Batch #6, 1317 btl.)
Nose: the farmy kind of peat showing (subtle) sheep stables and farmyard. Burnt heather. Nougatty notes. Vague fruity hints in the background (I would say peaches and melons, plus a little guava). Moss and salty seaweed too. Light sweet herbs.
Mouth: a similar fruitiness in the background, with plenty of medicinal notes now. Iodine, antiseptics. Vanilla. Maritime notes and hints of olive brine. It perfectly combines austerity and roundness.
Finish: long, salty and tarry, with dry earthy notes.
A very good, rich Port Charlotte. Available from Master of Malt. The only downside is the price / quality ratio compared to the already excellent official Port Charlotte 10.
Score: 90/100
